| Gel Insoles and Heel Pads For That Soft Gel Feel!
WHY YOU NEED GOOD INSOLES - TRY THIS TEST FIRST!
| Being closest to the foot,
insoles are supposed to play the very important role of providing increased
pressure distribution and cushioning for the feet. Although most athletic
shoes offer good mid-soles that provide shock absorbency for the body,
almost all of the removable insoles are made from lower quality, compression
molded EVA foam. When new, EVA foam insoles may feel good in the store, but
after minimal use, they quickly breakdown, flatten-out and no longer provide
any cushioning or pressure distribution. This can happen within just a week!
Also, don't expect that if you spend a lot of money on a shoe that it
necessarily comes with a good insole - as this is rarely the case. Also,
original equipment insoles rarely if ever give any support. Look for
yourself. |
 |
- Pull out the removable
insoles from your shoes. Feel how hard the foot-bed inside the shoe
actually is!
|
 |
- Now, squeeze the heel
area of the insole and feel how the EVA foam has compressed, leaving
little or no cushioning for your feet. Note: If your shoes are new, wear
them for a week and then try this test.

Quality
replacement insoles will help to protect your feet by providing better
cushioning and increased pressure distribution.
